Liz Wheaton’s passion for drawing and painting goes back to her early childhood. Born and raised in Northern California, she always knew that she would be an artist. Her focus quickly fell on illustration as a career objective, prompting an application to Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. After graduating with Honors in 1980, Liz returned to the Bay Area to develop her freelance business.
Upon seeing Liz’s portfolio of student work, Artist Representative Nadine Hunter recognized her skill and talent. They quickly began a long-standing partnership in marketing Liz Wheaton Illustrations. Recently, Liz’s business goals changed, bringing their professional partnership to an end. However, Liz and Nadine remain close friends.
“Liz’s technical abilities, design sense and versatility made her work an easy sell to Designers and Art Directors alike,” says Nadine. “Add to that her professional attitude and you can see why our partnership lasted more than 26 years. Her work has always been consistent and we heard nothing but positive feedback from our clients at the end of a project.”
Designers and Art Directors invariably think of Liz Wheaton Illustrations when they need an image with a warm, nostalgic feel that will strike a chord with their target audience. As a result, Liz’s illustrations have appeared on packaging, advertisements and collateral materials from design firms and ad agencies across the country.
Liz Wheaton maintains a consistently high standard for her work and her client’s needs. Her classic style will keep her illustrations in demand for years to come.
